This concept of "meatless Mondays" started in association with Johns Hopkins University's public health school. Back in 2001, the school was renamed the John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public health in honor of the man who is telling New Yorkers what they can and cannot drink under law- Mayor Bloomberg.
