The Southern Poverty Law Center sent a letter earlier this week to Attorney General Eric Holder and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano urging the federal government to form a task force to invesitgate supposed terror threats posed by the likes of Texas Talk Show Host and founder of Infowars.com and PrisonPlanet.com Alex Jones, We are Change, the Oath Keepers, The Constitution Party, The Tyranny Response Team and thousands of other "evil" Americans outside the establishment(Video provided shows Brian Levin, who is the director for the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism, includes Alex Jones in a hysterical litany of dangerous and "nutty" people engaged in free speech)
The Letter was sent by the president of and CEO of the SPLC J. Richard Cohen, begins reminding Holder and Napolitano that the organization "wrote Attorney General Janet Reno about the growing threat of domestic terrorism" before the tragic Oklahoma City Bombings in 1995(if you want to know more about that I highly suggest you order the film a Noble Lie which is available on Amazon and the Infowars Store)
'Today, we write to express similar concerns. In the last fours years, we have seen a tremendous increase in the number of conspiracy-minded, antigovernment groups as well as in the number of domestic terror plots. "Today's" so called threats according to Cohem, come from "citizens concerned about federal government attacks on the Second Amendment." it gets even better from this windbag: "Because of the looming dangers, we urge you to establish an interagency task force to assess the adequacy of the resources devoted to responding to the growing threat of non-Islamic domestic terrorism"
Using SPLC mode of operation and fear mongering, Cohen conflates small number of "racist white supremacist groups with the larger more diverse patriot community" and this windbag dares to Americans concerned with the attacks on the Constitution as DANGEROUS and therefore requires the federal government to respond to this "domestic terror"
It does not surprise me in the least that the SPLC has decided to use and exploit the patriot movement opposed to unconstitutional firearms legislation and label patriots as "extremists" and that MSNBC's Chris Matthews would have SPLC spokesman Mark Potok on his non-relevant show on TV as Congress is poised to work on draconian Anti-Second Amendment bills. This Domestic Terror bullshit being put out by the SPLC's and them using terror as an angle feeds right into the Anti-Second amendment propaganda being spun by corporate establishment media
Also the Department of Homeland Security are nothing more than a bunch of paranoid idiots with their obsession in exaggerating and even demonizing being active politically as the corrupt establishment would say as "dangerous". Back in 2009 as has been well documented the DHS is following the SPLC in considering returning veterans, 2nd Amendment activists and anti-immigration activists on par with white supremacist groups and The established attack on these groups cannot be successful unless they demonize them and politically be slammed by the very establishment's media.
Though it remains to be seen if this bullshit will succeed. The SPLC using the OKC bombing as a theatrical backdrop for all this is interesting given the SPLC was connected to the damn bombing in the FIRST PLACE!!! as in 2004 a declassified FBI memo that a Oklahoma newspaper obtained revealed the existence of a Southern Povery Law Center informant that was connected to the Elohim City. The paper reported that the references to an informant working for the SPLC the night before the tragic bombings raised questions as to what they knew about what McVeigh was doing during the final hours before the bombs at the Murrah Building went off
And when asked about his organizations role in the attack, Morris Dees who is co-founder and was chief trial council for the SPLC told the media: "If I told u what we were doing there, I would have to kill you"
