exposing the draconian energy policies in Britain than what is happening at the Drax power station in Yorkshire, one of the largest in Britain
It was one of the most efficient coal fired plants in the world as it had a 1,000ft tall flue chimney and it had 12 monster cooling towers(taller than St. Paul's Cathedral) and dominate the eastern area of Yorkshire. Everyday, Drax burns 36,000 tonnes of coal which is brought in by 140 coal trains every week it supplies Britian with 7% of its electricity.. good enough to light the cities of that nation
But no thanks to changes in Government policy as dictated by the EU, Drax is about to be converted on a 700 million british pounds switch to convert its 6 boilers to burn wood chops instead. Most of these are coming from fallen trees that cover 4,600 miles in the United States from there they will be shipped to Britain a mere 3,000 miles away
Drax seems to have become a victim of the so called "green revolt" and is now at the heart of their governments policy.
Because it burns coal, Drax according to the eco-tryants is the single emitter in Britain spewing out that deadly(note sarcasm) life giving gas CO2. Their excuse is that by switching to wood-or "biomass"- Drax will save the earth from "climate change" and reduce CO2 emissions.
Truth is coal is one of the cheapest forms of electricity out there but the Government is so hell bent on bowing down to the EU's targets to reduce Britain's "carbon emissions"
First the Government wants to impose a CARBON tax to make burning coal and other CO2 burning fuels expensive and will be introduced in 3 weeks time. It will start low than rise steeply every year and the Government is is also determined to be "carbon neutral" by using ineffective and expensive wind and solar power thus putting their taxpayers into energy poverty essentially all thanks to this CO2 is a pollutant myth.
Brian Sussman in his first book Climategate: A veteran meteorologist exposes the global warming scam talks about a study done by Michigan State University from their professor of horticulture Sylvan H Witter on page 66 recites like this:
"Research gathered by Michigan State University professor emeritus of horticulture Sylvan W. Witter indicates that with a tripling of CO2, roses,carnations,and chrysanthemums experience earlier maturity, have longer stems and larger,longer lasting,more colorful flowers with yields increasing up to 15%. Rice,wheat,barley,oats and rye perform yield increases ranging to 64%. Potatoes and sweet potatoes produce as much as 75% more. Legumes including peas, beans, and soybeans,show increases to 46%. The effects of carbon dioxide on trees which cover one-third of Earth's land mass, maybe even more dramatic. According to Michigan State's forestry department, trees have been raised to maturity in months instead of years when the seedlings were raised in a triple CO2 environment"
So clearly CO2 is not a pollutant!! it is essential to all life on this planet so for anyone(globalist and environmental whack job Al Gore), group or government to say otherwise is a complete slap in the face to all life on this earth and to science itself

It's now forcing power companies to do unbelievably dumb things in the name of being green, It's playing games with an essential service which lives and jobs depend.
"Doubling electricity bills will harm pensioners, those on disability benefits, and impoverished kids. It will cause jobs to disappear. Pilling hardship on top of hardship in this manner, pretending that real people won't really suffer, is not morally defensible. Even in the name of protecting the environment"
We have a lot of real envionmental issues like GMOs, Smog, Toxic waste dumping not CO2 and the weather like the globalist, corrupt mainstream media and their eco-fascist minions want you to believe
This is not about those issues, no It is about total control over our lives and using fake CO2 taxes to fund the world government the elite want to set up for their tyrannical New World Order all through United Nations Agenda 21 and more sinister of all: genocide up to 80-95%
