Criminals are literally holding residents at gunpoint. Local residents of Brooklyn NY are concerned about looters rioting in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and fear they may pose as emergency workers. Given the fact there is no power and there as already been witnessing of looting at local stores, Residents of Gerriitsen Beach told WNBC reporter Lynda Baquero that they are suspicious of anyone who is claiming to be a an emergency worker. One resident was quoted saying even though they need utility workers they are not sure if they can trust them. FEMA has acknowledged that during other storms, there are always con artists who pose as reps of the agency in order to break into people's houses and businesses to steal and ransack the place. Reports have already come in of looters posing as Con Ed workers. Eric Martine, 33 and a cabby who lives in the area was saying that after the water had receded, he had gone back to his house to feed his pets and guys were looting by pretending they were Con Ed workers and holding people up and said "It was sick"
Residents have even taken to Twitter to warn other residents of this including in Williamsburg where one resident tweeted about people who were posing as Con Edison workers to not answer their doorsas they had robbed someone at gunpoint.
AS I and Infowars.com reported, some had declared on twitter they were planning on looting prior to the storm and even displayed their hauls on there as well promising to carry out more looting
The corrupt mainstream media had dismissed this as a joke and claiming looting does not happen after storms which is a complete lie and despite FEMA issuing warnings regarding criminal activity after hurricanes over the past couple years.
Though FEMA did come under fire for directing storm victims without power and the internet for guidelines on what to do...

ICSC Science Advisory Board Member(which Mr. Harris is a part of) Dr. Tim Ball, also an environmental consultant and former professor of climatology from the University of Winnipeg explained how Sandy upgrading to this level was a result of measurements taken from hurricane hunter aircraft extrapolated down the surface and not from wind speed measurements at the surface. WE all know this didn't stop the corrupt mainstream media from hyping this storm calling it a hurricane of "unparalleled porportions"
and in many cases echoed the statements of Eco-Tyrants as 350.org's Bill McKibben as calling Sandy as "really something that we haven't seen before" and others saying that big oil caused this storm which is complete and utter BULLSHIT(excuse my French) Dr. Ball explains that there were several factors that led to what we saw with the flooding and other damage caused by Sandy here is a couple of them:
"1)- Its very low central pressure, a general indicator of storm strength, set records in several cities(Atlantic City- previous record low was in 1932, Philadelphia- previous record 1993, Harrisburg, PA- previous record 1913, Scranton, PA-1965, Trenton, NJ-1993 and Baltimore-1932). This led to significant rises in sea surface elevations under the storm. Sea level can rise as much as two meters due to extraordinarily low air pressures above the ocean, which effectively "pull up" the sea surface in the vicinity. Note that low pressure records were not set in several major cities impacted by the storm. Here is when those records were set: Newark, NJ-1993, New York, NY-1914, Washington, DC-1993, Lynchburg,VA-1932, Elkins,WV(West Virginia)-1965.
2) strong off-shore winds on the north side of the cyclone.
3) The fact that the storm hit many coastal areas at roughly the same time as high tide in these regions
4) the fact that, as the storm moved north of Cape Hatteras on the Coast of North Carolina, it started to travel over regions of wider continental shelf(*image provided below this point in the article) where the ocean is shallow for greater distances off the coast than further to the south. This tends to focus waves that grow to higher heights than when they are traveling across deeper ocean regions
5) perhaps the most significant, the northern Polar Jet Stream pushed down into the Southern U.S. and presented a wall of cold air that Sandy ran into, prolonging its stay over the Eastern Seaboard and diverting its path into the coast more than would otherwise be the case(image is provided below this point in the article)
This was compounded by a high pressure zone over Greenland, also holding Sandy in place longer than would have been the case otherwise. Much of this is associated with global cooling, not warming."
Also what I find interesting is the Earth, Sun and Moon were lined up which slightly added to the high water levels that were observed.
ICSC Science Advisor Board Member, Dr. Madhav L Khandekar, an "expert reviewer" of the IPCC's 4th assessment report back in 2007 said in an interview that the claims that people like Mckibben were making were "absolute bunko" and there is a link to his interview on CFRA Ottawa later on in the evening. He explains how hurricanes have decreased world wide and there is a graph that shows this too.
Even the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) had to admit that there is no evidence backing the claims of the ecological fascists that man made climate change is responsible for "extreme" weather.
So instead of trying to stop events like Sandy from happening, we need to invest in making buildings safer and by burying our electrical cables underground
There really is no excuse for the power outages we see due to events like this. Time and Time again, how many times have we seen the electricity infrastructure fail in storms that meteorologists tell us happen from time to time. I think our power companies need to do a better job at preventative maintenance by burying electrical cables underground..
I will quote Mr. Harris: "Climate Change should be an issue in the U.S. election, all right. But we shouldn't be discussing greenhouse gases reduction a futile attempt to stop climate from changing or extreme weather events from happening. Instead we should be discussing how best to prepare our growing societies for extreme weather like Tropical Storm Sandy, events that will continue to occur no matter what we do"
