An Iowa man is facing charges from the city of Northwood that bans raising chickens within city limits and is set to face trial.
Leo Hendrick, who is a war veteran, father and owner of Spartan Arms moved to Northwood, Iowa years ago to live a more healthier and self-sufficient life. By doing "evil"(note sarcasm) things like gardening, hunting and raising small animals like chickens and rabbits
Hendricks told Storyleak.com: "We were sick of corporate farming, GMOs and pesticides. The price of groceries just keeps going up too so this is really the only way me and my family can survive"
Unfortunately for Mr. Hendrick, once city council got wind of his family's chickens, Worth County's sheriff deputy arrived at his home in late August to present a letter demanding he get rid of all the animals from his property within 10 days
"It really wasn't a surprise. I don't blame the sheriff's department though. Hendricks said, "There has never been a citizen complaint about my chickens or my gardens. It just comes down to the city government complaining about it"
After getting this letter, Hendrick put in a request to speak to the Northwood City Council while submitting and amended ordinance to keep his chickens. With written support from his neighbors, Hendrick did go before city council but his request was denied.
Hendrick explains their excuse: "They actually told me that I just needed to "fit into society" and comply. The mayor even told me that government intruding into lives like this was okay and needed, which I didn't agree with"
Are you(excuse my french) fucking kidding me??? the nerve of the mayor to tell this man who served his country to fit in with society and to comply with with having your rights violated??? that is just beyond words...
With his trial date set for December 13th, Hendrick learned he was banned from bringing up any significant point during his trial including the benefits of homegrown food, other cities encouraging their residents to raise chickens and very few people agree with this ordinance is to me a clear sign of the city to stop any juror from nullifying the case
This is another example of food tyranny by going after innocent people who were only trying to save money on food by growing and raising their own.. disgusting..

As most you are aware, I have covered the green energy fraud for a long time and the effect this scam has had on our power prices in this province. Recently eco-fascist tyrant in the making Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne and Al Gore celebrating the closure of our coal plants in this province and bragging about it with the plans to outlaw coal by the end of 2014
The current provincial energy plan by the Ontario government shows the average residential bill of $125 dollars will rise to $178 within 5 years- which is a 42% increase. Hydro bills are supposed to drop slightly in 2019 to $177(1 dollar off that is so wonderful: note sarcasm) a month then rise until 2022 when they will hit $193 a month
This fraud has failed around the world and everywhere this nonsense has been thrusted onto the taxpayers, the people get shafted royally
Of course our highjacked provincial government sees our decline into energy poverty as a "wonderful" thing when in reality it is not good. I read reports out of the UK where people are literally dying because they cannot afford their electric bills to stay warm in the cold months because their country bought into this disgusting hoax(see my archives about Gore/Wynne celebrating our green disaster)
But of course they tell us that we have to "suck it up" and cutback on your usage while they continue to gouge us in every way possible all thanks to the biggest scam in history known as the CO2 burning the earth myth/hoax(http://thebiggreenlie.wordpress.com/2013/12/03/a-billion-here-a-billion-there-why-arent-ontarians-upset-their-premier-is-selling-them-down-the-river/) and given the $1.2 billion on the gas plant scandal which was all over the news and was labeled an OUTRAGE!!!! but when we see another $1.2 billion of OUR TAX DOLLARS been lost all thanks to this scam there is hardly a damn word about it. Parker Gallant's article which is posted below the commentary of Big Green Lie wrote a scathing and damning report how we the electrical consumers of Ontario have been treated like shit by the criminal gangsters within our government
