Lesbian author Tammy Bruce accused gay rights groups of resorting to the same kind of intimidation and bullying tactics they normally oppose in an effort to punish Ducky Dynast star Phil Robertson after his comments in GQ were controversial.
She said in the following:
"What's especially troubling for minority communities in this country, the civil rights movements, especially the gay civil rights movement, was asking for people and demanding the right for us to be able to live our lives as we see fit without being punished for being different. It's ironic also that one of the big campaigns by the gay community is about ending bullying. If this is not a sign of the ultimate of

As infowars reported on Saturday that despite the lobbying efforts to help A&E suspend Robertson, GLAAD is now pushing for Robertson to be re-educated by demanding he meet with gay families in Louisiana, despite the fact Robertson is not backing down and re-affirmed his religious biblical position on homosexuality
And the article has the full quotes from Robertson about why he prefers a woman over a man's backside and a whole bunch of other things like bestiality and the rest of it. The Media of course falsely made the claim he was comparing homosexuality to bestiality and basically twisted his words around in order to make him look like a bad person.
The comments by Bruce also echo Camille Paglia's statements in regards to the reaction of Robertson's comments as "fascist" and "stalinist" and added that gay groups were displaying intolerance, immaturity and juvenility
"In a democratic country, people have the right to be homophobic as well as they have the right to support homosexuality-as I one hundred percent do. If people are basing their views against gays on the Bible, again, they have a right of religious freedom there"- Paglia told radio host Laura Ingraham
Which is bang on. As I said before while my own views on religion and sexual orientation are different from Robertson's, I respect his right to express his faith and his free speech.
These gay groups Bruce and Paglia were talking about are really showing their true hypocrisy here when they want to end bullying but turn around and do the same thing by punishing Robertson for expressing his opinion on homosexuality.
IN other news, The Daily mail is reporting that A&E set up the interview scandal in order to get the family to stop expressing their faith: http://www.prisonplanet.com/duck-dynasty-family-ae-set-up-interview-scandal-themselves-to-force-tone-down-of-religion.html as a source close to the Robertsons' told the Daily Mail that the network orchestrated this whole thing because A&E felt like they "went to far" in promoting their faith and When the TV execs came to them about doing this show they wanted it to be people laughing "at a bunch of backward rednecks" according to the source but when people started relating to them with how they acted and laughed with them and not at them this of course pissed of the higher NY TV types
We know A&E held a call with GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) prior to suspending Phil Robertson which was reported by Brietbart.com
The Family also said that A&E though this bad publicity would make the family bow down and kiss the arses of A&E to tone down their religious themes the Daily Mail reported as well
But as the source told the British paper: "But they may have underestimated how united the family are and how committed they are to their beliefs. They also didn't realize how much support Phil would get from the public, so things have backfired on them"
Others have said A&E will keep Robertson on after this dies down but it remains to be seen what the family will do based on their statement from last week
A&E were well aware of the family's religious background and they knew the answers Phil would give to GQ but they did nothing because it is clear to me that they wanted this to happened and conspired to do it by setting this whole thing up because they wanted to control Phil because they PRAY???!!!!
