Kathleen Wynne Plans for A 10% Increase In Gas Tax
Back in 2012, Canadian Awareness attended an event called "Metrolinx's Big Conversation" Part of the presentation was centered around funding options for a planned expansion by the provincial transportation corporation. Funding options were: Gas tax, sales tax, property tax, vehicle registration fee, land transfer tax, highway tolls, cordon count, payroll tax and parking space levies and there is a video of Gary McNeil who is the president of GO Transit.
We all know eco-fascist tyrant Wynne as already made an attempt back in the spring of 2013 to introduce highway tolls in the form of car pool toll lanes. This idea was met with huge amounts of rightful criticism from the people of Ontario and was scrapped. Since that idea went down the tubes and given Wynne went to the World Bank for funding this, I think most us were waiting to see what Metrolinx and Wynne were going to come up with next.
On Thursday, The Anne Golden Transit Panel released a plan that had 2 funding tools for transportation improvements and expansions. The first being a gas tax. The tax would be three cents per litre starting 2015-2016 and then one cent increases every year until it has reached ten cents, by the end of the increase, Ontario drivers will be coughing up a whopping $2.6 billion a year for gas !!!
The Second one is an increase in corporate taxes by 0.5% and channelling the GTHA(Greater Toronto Area and Hamilton Area) gasoline part of the HST to transit.
Ms. Wynne has stated many times that she is willing to let her party and own political futures hang on the transit strategy. She also stated that her government's decision on how to pay for the Metrolinx expansions will be in the 2014 budget being released in the spring.
Now you see how the majority of these funding options are targeting drivers, forcing drivers to pay for public transit. It may seem odd for you but look at the big picture.
Radical environmental groups, NGOs, the UN, socialists, corporations and governments alike have been conspiring on how to get people "out of" driving. In fact as Terry Wilson points out, the head of the Hamilton transit system openly states this in the above video I mentioned and seems like they found tools and are using public transit expansions along with increased costs to driving to pull this off.
I and others have covered the UN Agenda 21 document for some time and transportation is part of their so called "sustainable development" plan in the following quote: "There is, therefore a need for urgent action, ranging, inter all, from the promotion of integrated transport policies and plans, the accelerated phase-out of leaded gasoline, the promotion of voluntary guidelines and the development of partnerships at the national level for strengthening transport infrastructure, promoting and supporting the use of non-motorized transport and developing innovative mass transit schemes. Within the framework of the Commission's multi-year programme of work, transport was discussed by the Commission at its ninth session in 2001. SO in all essence under the hoax of CO2 burning the earth, Drivers and all people of Ontario are basically funding our own journey into an eco-fascist dictatorship and enslavement under UN MANDATES!!!!! and this is something we should all be outraged by and fight against.
