They did an ariel survey and they estimate the population of the polar bears along the Hudson Bay coast to be around 1,000.. the same number was found in a similar study back in 2004... so I guess life giving gas CO2 is not gonna kill the polar bears after all...
Cops Interrogate family over letting their kids play outside:http://www.infowars.com/cops-interrogate-family-for-allowing-kids-to-play-outside/ (Disclaimer: another example of the Big Brother Nanny State we are living under) According to an article out of Free Range Kids, a mother from Virginia was interrogated by police four times and visited by social services twice because her kids were spotted playing outside unsupervised. Despite the fact, that she is careful who her kids stay with at other's homes because of a bad experience she had as a child, she is being treated like a criminal because she is one of the few who actually allow her kids to play outside in her neigborhood(which she says is safe) so I guess she let her 4 kids(they were together) they went to this field near their house where she could clearly see them and her 10 year old ran home to her mum and dad that a cop was interrogating her oldest daughter... This took place after 4pm on Saturday according to the article and so her and her husband went out to see what the hell was going on and the cops even wrote a report stating that the kids were left unsupervised outside!!!! even though the kids carry phones to stay in contact with their parents and check in almost every half hour, she was told by her neighbors to not let her kids play outside because it is "unsafe". Naturally she asked the officer if her kids, ranging from 2 teens, a pre-teen and 5 year old, were causing problems and the Cop told her they were not and were very respectful and because it was so "odd seeing them outside unsupervised".. How warped do we have to get when we call cops on people because their kids are outside playing at a field right next to their own damn house without someone thinking that is suspicious behavior?? It seems we have allowed the media and state to ramp up paranoia over child kidnappings by using this as an excuse to go after parental rights and allowing more transfer of power to the government over our lives.. In reality, as the article points out is that American kids have never been safer.. according to a report in AOL, "the Department of Justice reported in 1997 of 980,712 people under the age of 18 being reported as missing compared to 643,744 in 2008" so these crimes are clearly declining so why in the hell are people so goddamn afraid to send their kids outside to get much needed physical activity(given we are facing an epidemic of obesity) and fresh air??? It is a clear example of how manufacturing fear about child kidnappings turning parents into potential abusers because they let their kids play outside(hell I played outside when I was kid with my brothers and neighbors and we turned out just fine, fresh air didn't kill us) and this nonsense I think is really depriving kids of the wonderful joys childhood can bring..
