Despite countless examples that prove contrary, debunkers and non-believers who argue that Bilderberg holds no power and it is just a talk shop for the elite has beens. Now it has emerged that policy and secret multi-billion deals between business heads and government are formulated at the meeting.
The London Telegraph had a headline today "Bilderberg Group? No conspiracy, just the most influential group in the world" that recently a major oil deal in fact, would be the world's biggest, was formulated at the Bilderberg meeting.
"And for business leaders, it is a perfect opportunity to lay the groundwork for deals"-the report states. "According to Tom Bergin's Spills and Spin, the account of the Gulf of Mexico disaster, Lord Browne, the head of BP, used a walk by Lake Como at the 2004 gathering in Italy to suggest a vast merger with Shell to create the world's biggest oil company. Lord Browne left under the impression it would happen"-the report stated
Indeed the cards have been stacked on the table for a deal and industry experts have said it is only a matter of time before the merger goes ahead. There are reps from both Shell and BP at the Bilderberg meeting, as usual, as well as members of the Dutch royal family and the Dutch prime minister- Shell Oil is a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell, which was founded under a royal charter. The report also shows how Lord Healey, who has been a longtime member of Bilderberg, recalled discussions that were held there regarding policy on the Vietnam war and in particular on European integration:
"Most vividly, he recalls its role in bringing the architects of the European integration-Schmidt, Pompidou, Giscard d'Estaing, Leone-together for open-ended discussions with bankers and economists about how the European monetary system might work. "The great advantage of the Bilderberg thing was they did not have to reach an agreement. You had time to discuss things with people who influence events who normally you would not meet at all"
"He adds: "People could talk very freely, much more freely than they would at home". Would the European Union and single currency have taken the shape they have now without those early Bilderberg meetings, I ask him. "I think it was a very important element in it. Whether it would have happened without it is difficult to say"-he says
Indeed, documents read by the BBC and Wikileaks showed how Bilderberg members were discussing the creation of the euro single currency nearly 40 years prior to it being officially introduced in the 1992 Masstricht Treaty. The EU Observer reported in March of 2009 that there was a meeting in June in Europe of the Bilderberg group that was chaired by Mr. Davignon that was to "improve understanding" on future actions in the way it created the Euro in the 1990s.
As has been well documented, there are so many examples of how Bilderberg is not really "talking shop" as some in the corporate whore press frame it but it is a venue for consensus on the implementation of national and geopolitical politics.
In spring 2002, when the war hawks in the Bush administration were licking their lips for a summer invasion of Iraq, Bilderbergers expressed their desire for them to delay until March the next year!!!
In 2006, journalists who got information that was leaked from inside the Bilderberg meeting in Ottawa at the time, predicted the U.S. housing market would soar before the bubble was cruelly popped and that is exactly what happened
In June 2008, Bilderberg were creating the conditions for financial calamity which as we all know happened a few months later with the collapse of Lehman Brothers. Bilderberg has routinely flexed their muscles in establishing themselves as kingmaker. The organization also routinely picks presidential candidates as well as running mates and prime ministers.
Despite expectation that former British Prime Minister Tony Blair would be announced as the first president of the European Union, the former PM of Belgium Herman Van Rompuy, was picked for the role just days after he went to a Bilderberg dinner meeting. Bill Clinton and Blair were both groomed by the organization in the early 1990s before becoming prominent.
Barack Obama's running mate Joe Biden was selected by Bilderberg member James A. Johnson and John Kerry's running mate in 2004 was John Edwards who was also selected by Bilderberg after he gave quite the speech at their conference in 2004
Despite the fact many establishment media, many who are titans have gone to Bilderberg, routinely deny the influence of the group on world affairs. In 2010 in a radio interview former NATO secretary general and Bilderberg Member Willy Claes admitted that Bildberg attendees are mandated to implement decisions that are formed at the annual conference of power brokers
Though the agenda topics are usually disclosed during the Bilderberg meeting, it is well known that the group will have major influence on Mitt Romney's running mate for the U.S. presidential election with Florida Senator Marco Rubio being their favorite. Rubio flaunted his "foreign policy chops" at a Brookings Institute speech in which he called for the United States to attack Syria and Iran
The proverbial dam is breaking on Bilderberg's secrecy and they bloody know it, hence their teasing of a public press conference. It is also why 2013's meeting represents a breakthrough that should be celebrated preferably with a show of unity at the Grove Hotel in Watford for anyone who gives a damn about government transparency and corporate accountability too..
