Alex Jones, who is a syndicated talk radio host in Austin Texas and runs Infowars.com and Prisonplanet.com, well known independent real alternative news sites, was detained at Austin-Bergstrom airport earlier today and threatened with arrest because he refused to take off his shoes at a security checkpoint.
He was travelling to New York to appear on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight, He had shown his ID as he approached the metal detector. Jones and co-worker Rob Dew had noticed a large number of people of all age ranges going through the checkpoint without having to remove their shoes
so when he got to the TSA screener who replied by saying "Hello Mr. Jones" indicating they knew who he was and told him to remove his shoes, when Jones refused he was approached by a cop who got in his face and threatened to arrest him.
Despite his protests that he was being discriminated against because he is a known critic of Homeland Security and the officer said to him that if he didn't take his damn shoes off he was going to be arrested without given him the option of leaving the airport, the cop continued with threats of arrest and stop Jones from flying because he had threatened to file a lawsuit for violating his civil rights.
One of Jones' concerns was with the removal of shoes was he had caught athlete's foot from the same process in at another airport meaning he carried another pair of socks when he boards the plane(makes sense) so he eventually agreed to do it, walked passed the detector and there was a "beep" and the TSA agents started laughing and it was clear they had done it on purpose just to be immature fools and other travellers said that it was an excuse for further harassment by them setting of the detector
and Jones is not the only journalist to have been harassed by this corrupt idiots. a CNN reporter named Drew Griffin was put on a TSA watch list because he filed a report slamming the TSA and after opt out day in 2010, the TSA admitted it had kept records on Alex Jones and Matt Drudge of the popular Drudge Report but refused to release details even after a Freedom of Information Act request by congressman Bob Barr.
Political figures have slammed the TSA such as Rand and Ron Paul have been singled out for harassment by this out of control corrupt agency known as the TSA and video of this will be posted later...
Never mind the fact the TSA was caught hiring sex offenders, or stealing from passengers but harassing journalists and politicians like Ron and Rand Paul because they dare call out the corruption of these bastards is nothing short of appalling..
