The Grocery Manufacturers of America(GMA) are scheming to keep you in the dark about what is in our food by criminalizing state by state GMO labeling laws in an effort to leave everyone ignorant about GMOs. This is the same GMA that got caught in that money laundering scam in Washington state where they secretly funneled money to the big giant food corporations in order to defeat the GMO labeling I-522
Now the GMA is trying to push legislation not only at the federal level but also at the state level to not only outlaw GMO labeling but to con the FDA into declaring GMOs as "natural" so that foods made with GMOs can claim they are "all natural". A petition filed with the FDA by the GMA states "GMA will be filing a Citizen Petition early in 2014 that asks the FDA to issue a regulation authorizing foods containing ingredients derived from biotechnology to be labeled 'natural'
According to a report from Food Democracy Now: "Monsanto and giant food companies are scheming behind the scenes to introduce a bill in Congress that would kill mandatory state GMO labeling efforts and replace it with a gutted version of a bill to preempt states' rights and give the illusion of serious regulation" and they have called this plan "devious"
Clearly with all the anti-transparency, anti-American actions or even world wide actions to get GMOs to be labeled, the GMA has put themselves in the same evil camp as Monsanto itself. The right to know what is in our damn food is A FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHT, and the GMA and the biotech companies like Monsanto clearly show just how anti-human rights they are. Throughout history we have witnessed human rights being violated and efforts to silence certain groups and keep everyone ignorant: Women were denied the right to vote, slaves being told they were not people, the Holocaust where the Jews were denied their right to life, The Chinese one child policy where the horrors of that genocide still continue where women are rounded up, beaten and forced to have their babies aborted and even forced sterilized in some cases and if the child is considered a "black child" by the government then they are put in dying rooms to sit in their own waste and left to starve to death and so on and so forth. Now the GMA joins that laundry list of disturbing history of human rights being violated by working to deny all people of this planet the right to know what we are eating
the GMA represents the profit interests of dishonest, criminal, deceptive food manufacturers who sell their toxic poisons, not on the interest of consumers of food, and it has a long established list of using deception to make sure its members can continue to hide their toxic poisons in their food products
The GMA is clearly a group that wants us to consume unknowingly more bad stuff in our food. the GMA should not be ashamed of itself, it needs to be exposed for the corrupt evil food corporation it is whose actions, if they get their way, may result in Americans being harmed by eating unlabeled poison in their food
