Following the awesome nomination of NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden by 2 Norwegian politicians, Infowars.com is launching a campaign to award the whistleblower with the honor for his bravery and courage in exposing the mass surveillance state and widespread government corruption

Arguing that Snowden had "contributed to a more stabel and peaceful world order" Baard Veger Solhjell and Snorre Valen put Snowden's name to be considered for this award, adding that "His actions have in effect led to the reintroduction of trust and transparency as a leading principle in global security policies"

Hundreds of nominations are expected for the prestigious award with members of any national assembly being allowed to suggest candidates. The final list will be decided on March 4th and the winner announced on October 10th of this year.

There is a link to a facebook page they set up to Award Mr. Snowden with the Nobel Prize

Snowden's efforts to blow the whistle on the NSA's illegal and unconstitutional spying programs have helped shift public opinion with a recent USA Today/ Pew Research Poll showing that 70% of Americans "say they shouldn't have to give up privacy and freedom in order to be safe from terrorism"

His actions have also led to introductions of bills at state legislators across the United States aimed at cutting off water and power to NSA facilities while making it illegal for state authorities to use information obtained by the federal agency

Critics have of course demonized Snowden by labeling him a traitor who has helped "terrorists" evade detection even though the NSA has not caught a single "terrorists"

And Snowden said that the programs were about "economic spying, social control and diplomatic manipulation. They're about power"

This is a huge opportunity to restore faith in the Nobel Prize by given to a truly worthy candidate and someone who woke the masses up and creating a rebirth of the ideals of freedom and privacy

IN previous years the Nobel Committee has come under fire by awarding the prize to people who did not deserve it like Obama and the corrupt European Union
